S.P.I. #3
I am not a huge Reba fan but I couldn't pass up this song. She must have been looking through my kitchen window because that is exactly what supper time looks like around here. The lyrics are so true. It has been a long time since we were just us and not Mommy and Daddy.
On to South Padre...
The pictures are in chronological order. The video does not have sound- except for the wind.
Day Two
The boys woke up early (of course) and Garrett immediately wanted to go to the beach. So, we loaded up and applied the sunscreen and headed to the beach. This time we used the wagon and it was much easier to haul all of our stuff. Lance played in his hole and Garrett played in the waves.
We stayed for a little while and then went back to the house and cleaned up. Billy and Dad went fishing and Mom and I took the boys to Wal-Mart. Lance fell asleep on the way back to the house. He was soooo tired from playing in his sand pit. We had lunch and I went back to Wal-Mart to exchange my swimming suit. When I got back Shane and Lauren were there. So we packed up and went back to the beach. This time we had boogie boards and a shovel. Made it more interesting. Mom did not go this time. She went to the airport to get Joby, Clayton and Laurie. We played and played. Lance was getting cranky so we started to head back. Garrett screamed and cried! We had to drag him away. Went back, bathed the baoys, fed them and put them to bed. And they fell asleep fast! It gave us a chance to visit and relax.

S.P.I. #2
Left around 9:30 and headed out towards South Padre. We only had to make two stops! Once for lunch and once to find the pacifier. We drove onto the island around 4:00. We found my uncles house and unloaded everything and let the boys run around a bit. Back into the truck to find supper. We ended up at a seafood restraunt and had a nice family meal. The boys were very well behaved. Surprised us! Garrett was very adamant about not eating "monsters", or as we call them- lobsters.
After that we made a quick run to the grocery store and went back to our apartment. I guess I should tell you about the house. Love that house! We had our own little efficiency apartment on the bottom floor. Our door opened to the back yard that was like a little tropical paradise. There is also another little room off the garage that has 2 beds and the indoor stairs. Upstairs are 2 bedrooms and a sunroom with a bed. There is a nice kitchen and living/dining room. And a balcony. It was perfect! The times we weren't at the beach we were out in the back or on the balcony.
Anyways, we came home and changed into our beach gear. Walked down to the beach and played for a while in the sand and surf.
After a bit we headed back to the house. Did I mention it was in walking distance? A very short walk. Got the boys all cleaned up and ready for bed. About that time Sugie and PawPaw showed up and of course it was play time for Garrett.
That is about it for the first day.

S.P.I.
We have been in South Padre for the past 5 days. Glorious! We had the time of our life! I will give details tomorrow. When we were leaving today Garrett was blubbering "I don't want to go home, I don't want to leave the beach."
Just a preview:

Playroom
I do not have pictures of the bedroom today. Lance is in there taking a nap. Maybe next week.
I don't have much else to say. I am ready for this weekend to get here. That is all. Kinda boring today!
Don't look for me much this weekend. I plan on spending all my time with my family and taking a break from the computer. Have a great Memorial Day! And don't forget why we have this day!

Behind
I know I promised pictures of the new rooms but my camera batteries are being charged right now. Maybe later today. The boys have been doing great sharing a room together. After they giggle and talk a while they fall asleep. It is too cute to hear them laughing at each other. I am about to try nap time with both of them. I have a feeling it won't work.
I have another layout of Shelby. This is when she came over to play.

I have a few more layouts but I can't reveal them yet. :)
Oh- did you watch the finale of 24 last night? WOW! Billy and I couldn't go to sleep after that! We laid there thinking of what is going to happen to Jack. And we have to wait 7 months to find out.
AND- 7th Heaven is coming back! WHOO HOO! My blog buddy Kristin told me this bit of news. I am so excited!
I need to go. Busy day tomorrow. And it is the LOST finale! So- don't call me tomorrow night!

Playroom
Other than cleaning the sand out of the bath tub, I did nothing else today. I kinda have a funky tummy. Billy and Garrett washed both vehicles. Lance took two naps. That is it. Our whole day. So nice to be at home and able to get stuff done.
I have a page to share. I know I have used this picture before. But since I lost the emails with all the pictures from when Shelby was here I just used this one again.
Credits: Papers from Sweet Pea Kit by Heather Thompson of Scrappy Doodle Kits. Staples are also from Heather. Yarn circle is Gina Miller's, "you is Kim Hill's and the glitter alpha is Holly McCaig's. Fonts are Digs My Heart and pea Alisha.
Time to put the rugrats to bed in their new room.

Getting tired of my updates???
And over on the left is the video. It is my anthem. I have been blessed.
New Video
I was planning on getting a bunch of scrapbook pages done this weekend but my days are filling up. We are probably going to the beach tomorrow and then on Sunday I have a meeting at church. I should stop planning on having time to do my hobby because it never works out! I know Billy can sympathize. He has not been fishing in a long time. Our freezer is EMPTY! Maybe when this Jr. High is finished and he is not having to drive 140 miles twice a week we will have more time.
But- I did get one page done yesterday. In between making carrot cakes and cleaning up all the messes two little boys make. I had to make 5 cakes because someone's fingers ended up in a cake. Oh well! A little funny- after supper last night Garrett asked if he could have some "Garrett Cake." He thought it was a Garrett cake, not a carrot cake! Anyways...

Does Charley from Maisy Mouse annoy anyone else?
Have a great weekend!

So Sorry
After I dropped Garrett off at MDO on Tuesday, Lance and I went to Walmart to get some diapers, toothpaste, toothbrushes, etc. That kind of stuff. We went on home and I put it all up. Went to get Garrett. Came home and I started laundry. In the time it took to change out the clothes, Garrett squeezed an ENTIRE tube of baby toothpaste out. So, I cleaned it up. Then I was cleaning the kitchen and it was very quiet. I went to go check on Garrett. He was in his bathroom dumping the baby shampoo out into the tub. It was also a brand new bottle. He also poured his water on his brother. And destroyed Lance's ear plugs (not the custom ones.) All of this occurred within an hour and half after school. I ordered pizza that night.
Wednesday we went to lunch and shopping with Sugie. She then went with us to Lance's check- up. His ear tubes are looking great and his hearing test was much improved. He is in the normal ranges now. He does have another sinus infection. New meds to try for it. But this is the first time he has had a runny nose and NO ear infection! I wish we would have had the tubes put in sooner. He has to stay on the Zyrtec still. I was hoping he could come off of it but his eczema is flaring up. After that we went on home.
And now I am baking.
I promise pictures this weekend. Maybe a video.

Addition
The Big Cheese
Garrett has the cheesiest smile. This is what he does when I tell him to say cheese.
We are recovering from a great weekend. Mondays are such a letdown. Friday night we just hung out and did nothing. Saturday morning Billy got up and went to work for a few hours. He came home and made his cheese dip for Joby's party. We stopped by Grandma's real quick to say Happy Mother's Day and drop off her present. Then it was on to the crawfish boil. Garrett was a little freaked out by the swimming pool of crawling crawdads. I think he thought it was for him to play in. He did have fun with all the other toys and stuff. Lance did seem a little interested in the crawfish.
It was really good and fun. The evening ended with a "live" band. Two of my brothers and a few of their friends pulled out their guitars and played and sang. We had to leave to come back home in the middle of their "set."
Then it was Sunday. I slept in until almost 8:00! Late for us! The boys gave me their cards and we got ready for church. After church we went to eat at Saltgrass Steakhouse. It was delicious! Lance was a little grumpy but he was sooooo tired. He fell asleep as we were pulling out of the parking lot and slept for 3 hours. I had the entire afternoon and evening to MYSELF! Billy took care of the boys and put them to bed. Wonderful! It was a great weekend!
I found out that I did not make it to round three of the Ultimate Digi-Scrapper. Neither did 100 other people. I had fun the first 2 rounds and am interested to see who makes the next cut.
Not much planned for today. I need to get in the kitchen with some clorox and clean. We have already picked up toys in one room- although you can't tell now. So, hopefully Garrett will nap for me. How many of you are saying - yeah right?
This week is going to be busy. Garrett's last day of MDO, Dr. appointments, baking 4 carrot cakes for church, cleaning and all the normal stuff. Oh- and I have to complete my layout for Kim Hill's Essential Contest. And do a few layouts for my creative teams.
So, I better go get started on one of those things. Later.

A Quickie
Details and pictures tomorrow.

Karasail
We also did a little shopping. Garrett picked out Mother's day gifts for Sugie and Grandma. He told me specifically what went to who. Later on we are going to make cards- if Lance naps.
I just unzipped a ton of kits and stuff to play with. Hopefully I can have a little time to myself Sunday to work on a few scrapbook pages. Until then I leave you with pictures from today.
Have a great Mother's Day!

I can't think of a title so this will have to do
We had a normal day yesterday. Garrett went to school. I took Lance to be fitted for his Aquanots- earplugs. The tiny things cost were not cheap! He was so good at the appointment. He is the opposite of Garrett! Garrett isn't bad, he just won't let anyone touch his head.
Not much planned for today. We need to pick up around here. There are toys everywhere! I was thinking of taking the boys to the mall and letting them ride the carousel. It depends on Garrett. When he woke up today he told me he "feel bad." And then he asked me to kiss his tummy and make it feel better. He is laying on the couch now with a blanket up to his chin.
That is about it. Pretty boring. I guess I can leave you with a few pictures. Let me go dig around.

Good Bye Camdens
This past weekend has to be the first one that I did NOT take any pictures! Well, I took five but they are horrible. I did take video. But I will share that later this week when I have time to upload it.
We had a typical Monday around here. Billy's alarm went off a few hundred times. I cleaned and the boys destroyed. I washed and folded some laundry and the boys unfolded. I swept and mopped and the boys spilled. See a pattern??? If the Department of Health stopped by between the hours of 9 am and 6 pm we would be condemned.
I have 2 layouts to share. I hope I have not put them up here yet. They are both of Shelby! I have enjoyed using pinks and purples. I am running out of pictures of her!
Credits: Sun Worshiper Kit By Brenda Kempf and Kim Hill- available at DigiScrapDivas and circle edge by Shabby Princess.
I did this one for a sketch/realistic challenge at Shabby Princess. The resolution on the picture is pretty bad because I took it off of Deanna's blog. The journaling reads: Shelby, I wonder who taught you how to talk on the cell phone? It must be an inherited trait! You fit right in with your female relatives!
Credits: Papers are from Faith True, stitches and bows from Shabby Princess and the tab is Michelle Underwood's.
I am stressing over my next entry for the Ultimate Digi-Scrapper. An all about me page! So tough to do! I have a few pictures I am playing around with. I have a feeling I will be working up to the last minute on this one!
I made another creative team! It is for Heather Thompson of ScrappyDoodle Kits. I am so excited because she is also venturing into the internet radio world. Neat things to come!
And sadly, tonight is the FINAL episode of 7th Heaven. This had to be my all time favorite show. I like it even better than 90210. Billy thinks I am a big goober but I am so sad it is ending. I have watched the Camden's grow up and have laughed and cried along with them. I am sure I will be crying later. I know I am a big dork.
Well, I leave you with a video. I totally stole this from Amy Edward's blog. I laughed so hard at this guy. You know you all danced like this! Did all the moves! One part reminded me of someone and I bet Deanna knows who. Enjoy it!

My Good Girl
We had a wonderful day today! Church was great and the afternoon was too. Billy actually took a nap. He was the only one who did! I had to run to target and while I was gone they had popsicles. I kinda guessed that they did because Lance was red. He had 2 while sitting in his bubble car outside. Both boys went to bed early and Billy cooked supper.
I found out tonight that I made it through the first round of The Ultimate Digi-Scrapper. My goal was to make the first cut and I did! The assignment was to use one picture. I choose the one of Garrett running on the beach. We had to make a new layout using the picture we choose. The next assignment is a layout with a picture of ourselves and to tell our story. Tough one! I can't show you the layouts on here until the contest is over but here is the link if you want to check it out.
That is all for now. I have a few almost finished layouts that I hope to work on tomorrow. Check back late tomorrow Deanna! I am working on one of Shelby. Night!

NSD
We are having a nice and relaxing weekend. Lance is doing great! He is still a little on the sleepy side. He has tired eyes. He is taking his 2nd nap right now. Garrett is entertaining Billy.
I have a new layout to show you. This is of Lance and his essentials. He is so attached to that bear! I have to sneak it away to wash it. He also has lambie as a backup. I am trying to stop the paci use. He hides them from me. And then there is the Dora van. Annoying! He loves to push the buttons and dance to the Latin music.
I used Faith True's new kit called About A Boy. It is available at Elemental Scraps on Tuesday.
Have a great weekend!

We are home
I heard that Garrett had a great time yesterday. I am sure he is worn out. I am also sure that he has learned new things from his uncle.
That is all for now. I need to go check on Lance.

I know I know
Lance's procedure is at seven in the morning. We have to be there at 5:30. Pray! I am so nervous right now. Garrett is staying with Sugie and PawPaw. He will be entertained by Uncle Shane and Aunt Lauren. We are so excited that they moved back to Texas.
Here is a glimpse into our crazy days. The boys race from Lance's room across the living room and into our room where they fall onto the stack of quilts. Of course Lance races with bear. I couln't get a video of the entire race because Lance kept falling over. He feet go faster than the rest of him. Enjoy!

Exhausted!
I know I should have posted earlier but I had to take Garrett to the doctor- to see if there was a rock up his nose. And to look at the rash on his face from the bubble solution. Everything was/is ok. I would be worried about Garrett if something did NOT happen to him on a daily basis. Reminds me of my brothers. Remember the Little People Clayton? They do not flush.
Here is a layout I did for Kim Hill's Monday night chat. She gave out an awesome freebie!
Credits: Star paper and glitter star are from Andrea Burn's Mother's Miracle, stitched stars are from Dani Mogstad and all the rest of the papers are Kim Hill's Beyond Bold. Fonts are Digs My Heart and pea Angedawn.
That is it for now. I have a bunch more pictures and more layouts in the works. But since blogger is running slow they will have to wait.
Oh- and we have a busy day tomorrow so I will try to pop in!
