Loooooong Blog

Yeah! The weekend is here! It is so nice to have Billy home during the day to play with the boys. I can only take about 5 days of being a human jungle gym before I wear out.
Yesterday we went outside to play in the sunshine after supper. Garrett was digging in the ground and pulling weeds. He looked up at me and said "Whew! It is hot outside. Let's get out the pool. It's summertime Momma." No kidding! He is so ready for it to be warm and dry. He does not like being cooped up inside.
We went to McDonald's for lunch today- Garrett's choice. Lance ate 4 chicken nuggets, apple slices and a few fries. That boy can eat! He must be going through a growth spurt. He has not turned away any food we have offered. He loves bananas. I can't say that word around him. If you show him a banana he starts to hop up and down in his booster seat and grins. Here is a picture from breakfast (sorry about the quality- I did not edit it).

I have a few scrapbook pages to share. This one is of Garrett from Western/Rodeo day at school. They had the court set up like a western town with activities for them to do. I was volunteering at the face painting table. He was doing good and having fun until he saw me. I think the pictures will explain what happened then. The blue eye came from his hand that I painted on and then he wiped his tears with it.

I also worked on this. It took me forever to do. It is very hard to do a scrapbook page about yourself. It was a challenge.

I'm All Better Now

That is what Garrett told me. He also told me he doesn't have anymore "feber." I think this nasty virus had finally left us. It took a week and an entire container of ALL to get us through it. Yes, that was 29 loads of laundry done in one week. And it is all folded!

I have a few pictures to share and one scrapbook page. This is what sick looks like at our house:

And here is a layout:

The journaling reads: Children come into this world with fresh eyes to see all that is beautiful, embrace all that is joyful, and love unconditionally with open hearts and minds.

Off to make "rab e ole" or ravioli. Have a great evening!

Whew!

I think the tide has turned and we are over the ROTAVIRUS. Of course now that I have said that I am sure one of us get sick again. Poor Lance had it bad. I will spare you the details. Garrett came down with it at 3:00 a.m. It really didn't phase him though. He still wanted to "race" with Lance (they will both push a walker across the living room in a race). But I made him spend the day on the couch watching videos and looking at books. He actually took a nap!

We plan on taking it easy this weekend. Lance's birthday party is in 15 days! We are doing a monkey theme. It should be fun and I am sure wild. There are a lot of birthdays this time of year. Billy, PawPaw, MiMi, JoJo, Ann, Susie and Shane. I know I am missing some- let me know.

I have been a little busybee on the computer. Here is what I have turned out the past two days---

Got Lysol??

What a day! Lance has the stomach bug BAD! It started yesterday afternoon and is still going. It is not fun! He is pretty pitiful. I just pray Garrett doesn't get it. A sick three year old is much much worse.

I did get to do some scrapping today since Lance spent the day on my lap. I bought a huge new kit today at DigiScrapDivas called Priceless. It is a charity kit with all proceeds going to Kids with Cancer Society. I made this page of Lance with the kit:

And this one of Shelby (it is not quite finished) using Gina Miller's Kindasentimental and Shabby
Princess stitches. I love being able to use pink!:

And this one of Billy using Shabby Princess Splendid:

Off to go put another load of laundry in.

Happy Valentine's Day

Ok- I know I am a day early but I wanted to share an early Valentine's with you.

Kit used: Shabby Princess Sweet Sprinkles

We celebrated Billy's birthday Saturday evening. It ended up being a Thomas party. Garrett had a grand time playing with Grandma. He also enjoyed the chocolate cake. Lance fell asleep before he could try cake. He will have to wait for his birthday next month.

Garrett has been getting up in the middle of the night lately. We think he is sleep walking. He is not coherent and is doing strange things. Billy found him in his bathroom with the light on. Sometimes he does know what he is doing. I have caught him in the pantry a few times looking for a snack. It would not surprise me if he does sleep walk. I can't complain- he does like to sleep late after he has been prowling.

Check back tomorrow!

Mountain

I heard Garrett making a bunch of noise in our bedroom and went to check it out. I asked him what was going on and he said he was "playing mountain." He was climbing the MOUNTAIN of laundry and jumping off of it. At least the clothes are clean.

Garrett enjoyed playing with MiMi yesterday. He always enjoys having company and getting to do whatever he wants. With grandmas and great-grandmas around it is a constant party.

I got this in an email from mom and thought it was cute--

A little girl walked to and from school daily. Though the weather that
morning was questionable and clouds were forming, she made her daily
trek to the elementary school. As the afternoon progressed, the winds whipped up, along with thunder and lightning. The mother of the little girl felt concerned that her daughter would be frightened as she walked home from school and she herself feared that the electrical storm might harm her child. Following the roar of thunder, lightning, like a flaming sword, would cut through the sky. Full of concern, the mother quickly got into her car and drove along the route to her child's school. As she did so, she saw her little girl walking along, but at each flash of lightning, the child would stop, look up and smile. Another and another were to follow quickly and with each the little girl would look at the streak of light and smile. When the mother's car drew up beside the child she lowered the window and called to her, "What are you doing? Why do you keep stopping?" The child answered, " I am trying to look pretty. God keeps taking my picture."
May God bless you today as you face the storms that come your way.

The Biggest Eyes

Weekends are too short!
We just hung out and did stuff around the house. Billy did take both boys to get their hair cut, stopped by WalMart and then picked up the deer meat. Everyone survived.
We went to church today and Garrett ran into Sunday School without crying! In our class we studied Joshua today and overcoming our fears and failures. One verse really stuck out for me and it is also the verse that Abraham Lincoln used through all his trying times.
I sought the Lord, and he heard me,
And delivered me from all my fears
Psalm 34:4

Thanks Becky for redirecting me this morning!

Here is a pictures from this morning of the boys in their western shirts:

And here is one of the biggest eyes I have ever seen:

That is all for now. Have a blessed week!

For you Billy

24 in 30 seconds This might free up some of our Monday nights.

Lance is 11 months today!!! He is losing his "baby" look. I can't believe his birthday is next month!

Speaking of birthdays~ Billy's is coming up. Garrett has his daddy's party all planned. He is having a Spiderman party with balloons and a pinata in the backyard. He is also getting a clock tower for his present.

Here are a few more layouts I did:

Welcome to our blog! I hope this will be an easier way to keep in touch. I am excited to be able to share our life with all our family and friends- and not have to send huge emails! So check back frequently to see what is happening with the Heimann family.
