Yuck

Garrett has a sinus infection. I knew when his eyes had yucky green stuff in them it couldn't be good. He is on a round of antibiotics, cough medicine and hiney cream (his words). The hiney cream is for the rash that will come with the antibiotic because he is allergic to it. It is a mild reaction compared to what happens when he takes amoxicillin. He looks like he polka dotted himself with that one.

Lance is doing fine. He is no longer walking. He is running. His upper body goes a lot faster than his little feet and he just tumbles over. He also carried things when he walks. Today he had a DVD case, a fruit snack wrapper and a Hot Wheels in his hands. He walked all over the house holding onto all that.

Earlier I heard Lance scream and I went to investigate. Garrett was standing over him. I asked Garrett if he knocked Lance down (a new fun game he plays). He told me "Yes, I'll go to the naughty chair." He thinks that he can put himself in the naughty chair and it will be all better. Stinker.

Well, here is another scrapbook page I did tonight. I am doing something different. I left the area to the right blank. I plan on putting one of the bracelets from the hospital there. Kinda mixing traditional and digital scrapbooking.

Sweet Dreams!

Cough, Cough

If you were next to me that is what you would hear. We are all coughing. It is getting annoying. I am taking the boys to see their doctor today and hopefully get some really good cough medicine. Then maybe we can all sleep through the night.

I have a new favorite. Gain Joyful Expressions Apple Mango Tango. It is like washing your clothes in a yummy shower gel. Now I just have to see if Lance is allergic to it. I usually wash with the green All but the store was out. I found out the hard way that I can't use powder detergent or Tide. It makes Lance's eczema break out like crazy. He also breaks out if he is around floral perfumes or sprays. Last night we tried a bubble bath and I am hoping it didn't give him bumps because he loved the bubbles. I am hoping he outgrows this.

Another new favorite. Home Cafe. This thing is so neat! I can make a cup of coffee, tea or hot water in a minute. Perfect for me. Right now I am having a cup of French Vanilla coffee.

I made a layout yesterday of the boys. The pictures reminded me of my childhood.

Shameless plug coming...

Faith just released a new kit and I love it! It is called Fete des Fleurs. Here is the preview.

That is all for now. I need to go find goodies to put in the bag for the waiting room. Have a great day!

UUGGGHHH!

I have the crud. Thanks Billy! I feel crummy and tired. I just hope the boys don't get it.

We had a very nice weekend. Friday night was KidFest and it was cold! There was a good turnout. I painted faces for 3 hours. And I can't draw. It was mainly hearts, rainbows and puppy whiskers. Garrett had fun at a few of the booths and Lance hung out in his stroller. Saturday we goofed around the house and went to the grocery store. And then Sunday we went to church. The parking lot was full and there was even parking at a local school. The big opening was a success. After lunch we went to visit Billy's parents. We took Sammy to live with them. We just couldn't contain him in our yard and he was rough with the boys. He seemed to like it there. The boys had fun playing outside. Garrett rode a hot wheels down the hill and Lance pushed a truck all over the yard. Robert, Billy and Garrett attempted to fly a kite. It was a nice visit. It wore the boys out!

I only have one layout to share today. I just do not feel like creating. I also haven't taken any good pictures lately. This is just a little girly one of Shelby. I was just fooling around.

Glitter embellishments are Jen Wilson's.

Grand Opening

Our church is having its Grand Opening this weekend. I am excited. Tonight is the KidsFest. It should be a lot if fun. We are having the perfect weather for it. It is gorgeous outside! And Sunday is the big day.

We have had a really nice week. Stuck around the house a lot. Played and cleaned. Billy has a nasty cold and lost his voice. Not that he talks much anyways. Lance is walking everywhere. He looks so funny because he sticks his arms straight out like a mummy. Garrett is just fine. He has given us a preview of what he will be like as a teenager. I think that is what age 3 is for. A preview so you can prepare yourself the next ten years. I told Billy I am checking out all the parenting books from the library because we will need it with that one! Too many paternal genes.

So I got my sisters-in-law in on the blogs. Check them out here:: Susie and Deanna. It is so much easier to show off pictures this way. I would get so many emails sent back because of exceeding capacity and all that.

Here are 2 more layouts I finished. One of Ann and Ryan in Las Vegas and the other of my two boys.

Time to get a few naps in before the KidFest tonight.

Kenzie

You are probably wondering where that little girl came from! That is Mackenzie. She is Susie's niece. I was desperate for girl pictures and she was happy to oblige. Isn't she a cutie! I had fun making this layout.

Not much going on here. I enjoyed looking at Ann's Las Vegas pictures and will scrap a few for her. I was just wondering if she hit the Little White Chapel with Ryan and got married.

Off to make supper.....

I'm So Excited!

Two posts in one day! Aren't you special?

I am posting because I found out today that I am now a member on a creative team for Faith True. How cool is that??? Some of you might be wondering what that is and I will be glad to answer you. I will make layouts using her digital scrapbook kits and post them on a few online galleries. I am so excited to have this opportunity. I can't believe I was chosen (cue the tears). Seriously- it is a great honor and will be a great experience for me. If you want to check out Faith here is her blog- Simple Thoughts. So stayed tuned for new layouts with new products!

Nobody Knows...

I LOVE all the music from Grey's Anatomy! Go to their website and check it out! There are some neat things there. I like the FAQ's.

So I saw this little quiz and thought I would put it up here. This is for my sisters-in-law. I am not even genetically related to you and we all like the same things, even have the same thoughts. What GA character are you? I am Izzie. Go figure!

That is all for now.

Come on Tuesday!

Mondays are so hard. The boys are worn out from the weekend. Daddy isn't here. Laundry is everywhere. Hurry up Tuesday!

I did get some stuff done today. The boys were good helpers. Garrett by force and Lance because big brother was doing it. Of course it has all been undone by now. But that is okay. Supper is in the oven and 24 is on tonight. Both boys should hit the sack early. Lance is cutting 4 teeth and is gobbling up the Motrin.

This week is the Grand Opening of the BCBC. There will be a KidsFest Friday night. I will be face painting and Billy will have the boys. There will be all sorts of fun games and booths. Should be a blast!

I was able to scrap a page today. Lance took a good nap and Garrett spent some time on his LeapPad.

Knocking Birds

I love Saturdays! What a great day it has been! It started out with all four of us having a nice leisurely breakfast. We had a discussion about "knocking birds." It went something like this:

Garrett, what kind of bird is that?
It is a knocking bird
What does a knocking bird do?
It knocks. It lives in a birdhouse.

This all started when he asked what kind of bird was singing one day. I told him it was a Mocking bird. He interpreted it as knocking. You can figure out the rest.

I took some pictures when we were outside today. Lance is in his serious phase right now. I cannot get to him smile for anything. He is still a cutie.

And here is Garrett. Of course he hams it up for the camera. Usually with the cheesiest smile.

Well- that is all for tonight. Catch you later...

A little spring cleaning

I decided to attempt to spiffy up my blog. It is not easy! All those codes can get confusing. I made the banner myself. Just trying it out. I am sure I will be changing it once I learn a little more.

We plan on having a relaxing weekend. Meeting up with our Care Group from church for lunch. We are going to Willie's. Yummy! Billy will probably go and help at the church Saturday afternoon. I will try to get both boys to nap at the same time. And then we have church Sunday. This is the first time our Sunday school class will meet in the new building. We have not had class for 3 weeks. Really miss it!!!

So do you like the blinkies on the side? Gina Miller made the Grey's Anatomy one. That is another project I am going to attempt. Anyone have a need for a blinkie? I got the LOST one from ABC's website. The Digi Scrap Blog is a list of a bunch of blogs of my peers in the digital world. I am way low on the list. If you take a peek at some of the others you will see a lot of great design talent.

Ok~ here is a layout I worked on last night. It is a picture of the birthday prince- runny nose and all.

Hey You-

To all my visitors:

Let me know who you are! I am curious to find out who is lurking out there. Oh I know the regulars- Susie, Laurie and Lauren. Just leave a little comment for me. Thanks!

The boys and I had a fun day cleaning and playing. Guess who did what. Garrett was turning "flips" on the floor this afternoon. You know who had to join right in! Lance would bend over and look through his legs and then roll onto the floor. Too cute! I will try to get some pictures later.

Here are 2 scrapbook layouts of the boys. The first is of Lance's first steps without me. And the next is of Garrett jumping. They are definitely all boy!

Well- it is time for icon_lost_16 Thanks for stopping by!

Hurricane

There is a hurricane that hit our house. I call it Lance. It is a category 5. Want proof?

Not only does this hurricane wreck havoc everywhere it goes- it is now walking!! More proof-

When hurricanes make landfall tornados often occur. I call them Garrett. Proof-

I was only able to do one layout this weekend. I am trying to learn Photoshop Elements and have been playing with that all weekend. I am also attempting to do photo editing. I tweaked the picture of Garrett in this layout. If you have any pictures that need fixing send them my way. I need the practice. I would love to work on wedding photos (Susie & Laurie).

Have a wonderful week! I know I will- Garrett starts MDO again this week.

Real Quick

I am going to make this real quick. Lance is not feeling well. We went to the doctor(again) today and he has fluid behind his ear(again). Garrett is three- that should answer any questions about him. I finished on quick layout of Lance's birthday and one of Toby and Shelby. Hope you enjoy them! Have a safe weekend!

Pictures...

Ok- I said I would post pictures. That is about all I am going to do. The party was great. Once Lance figured out that Mommy was not leaving him with all these weird people he seemed to have a good time. So enjoy the pictures...

I'm off to bed.

Happy Birthday Lance

I can't believe my baby is one! We celebrated last night with a small cake and sang "Happy Birthday" to Lance. He responded by throwing both arms up in the air. That is his way of saying "Hooray!" He got a new big red wagon for his first birthday. Of course big brother has already claimed it. We had to get a wagon with seat belts to contain Lance. He is my wild child! Even his doctor commented on his "rambunctious" nature. Start praying for me now.

His big party is this Sunday. I know he can't wait. It will be nice to get to see some of the aunts and uncles. This who can't make it will be missed. Uncle Shane and Aunt Lauren may get knocked off as number one. Although the last time I asked Garrett who he wanted to play with he told me Bella- which actually sounded like "Belwah."

Anyways- I have a few pictures to share. No new scrapbook pages. I have been very busy cleaning and helping our church move to its new location. I did make a movie of Lance's first year. I will show it at the party and try to make a few DVDs.

The boys eating cupcakes:

Lance digging into his birthday cake:

Have a great weekend! I will try to come back Sunday night with new pictures. God Bless!
